Ten surfaces, one product
Lernex had accumulated the usual thing: every screen was individually defensible and collectively incoherent. Different card radii, four flavours of glow, three ideas about what a heading weighs, and a navigation pattern that changed identity between desktop and phone.
So all of it was rebuilt on one flat system - shared type, shared spacing, shared motion, and far fewer decorations. The desktop sidebar rail and the phone bottom tab bar now read from a single navigation source of truth, which is why the Vault stopped being a store with exactly one inbound link.

If a screen needed a tooltip to be understood, the screen got fixed instead.
The board draws while it talks
A chalkboard lesson now narrates and writes at the same time, aligned on real word timestamps rather than an optimistic guess at reading speed. Charts, geometry figures, and titles are drawn in the board's own ink, so a graph appears the way a teacher would actually put it up - stroke by stroke, while explaining it.
The unglamorous half was sync. Narration used to drift away from the board over a long lesson, which is the one defect that makes the whole illusion collapse.

Artifacts you can open at the first token
In-thread artifact cards were redesigned around one idea: the interesting moment is the building, not the finished file. A lesson, quiz, deck, or video is now openable from its first token, and the card shows what kind of thing is arriving before it has arrived.
Three real defects went with it - cards that stranded mid-stream and never settled, a save control that only worked in one direction, and specimen geometry that drew the wrong shape for the artifact underneath it.

A card says which of the three it is, so a slow generation reads as slow rather than broken.
Failures that speak
A turn that dies mid-stream now returns a retryable error instead of an empty reply.
Two native apps, not one app in a costume
iOS and Android are now separate, first-class applications - SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose - rather than a single cross-platform shell approximating both. Each one gets to feel like the platform it is on, which is the only version of 'native' that means anything.
The web app got its own phone pass at the same time: a real bottom tab bar, safe-area handling that fixed-position elements actually honour, and layouts that stop assuming a mouse.
Faster first tokens, honest numbers, narrower permissions
Conversation and artifact generation moved to gpt-5.6-luna, and the lesson, quiz, SAT, and daily-brief prompts were reordered stable-first so they can be cached. That shows up as the first token arriving sooner, on a smaller bill.
Usage telemetry now records reasoning tokens, cached tokens, stream phases, and latency, so a generation that felt slow can be explained rather than debated. And the broad Google Drive scope was replaced with the Picker flow: Lernex sees the file you hand it and nothing else in your Drive.
